(June 6, 2023) – Performance Based Fire Protection Engineering, PLLC is excited to announce that Rachel Kirk, EIT, has joined the company as a Fire Protection Associate. Rachel obtained her B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is pursuing her Master’s of Engineering in Fire Protection Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Rachel has a wide range of experience in the fire protection field, from code consulting, fire protection system design and smoke control assessments. She has also worked in various industry markets, including higher education, health care, historic facilities, assembly, transportation and nuclear. In addition, she has directly supported AHJs in ensuring code compliance on large-scale, highly technical projects.
Rachel is looking to continue her growth and technical abilities in the fire protection engineering field, which led her to Performance Based Fire. She is also excited to assist in growing a rapidly emerging leader in the field of fire protection engineering. At Performance Based Fire, we solve complex challenges by providing unique solutions to our clients, and this will continue to be leveraged through Rachel’s experience and strong interactions and relationships with clients and building and fire officials.
